Hypervisor Hardware Maintenance

As part of our continued investment into existing cloud platforms, engineers will be performing hardware maintenance on the Blade infrastructure in Dallas commencing on August 23rd 2012, completing on August 30th 2012. Maintenance will be carried out on several individual Hypervisors on each of the dates documented below to replace the existing Intel Xeon processors with the latest generation models. This work will provide customers with an increase in CPU performance at no additional cost.

At approximately 09:45 BST the Hypervisor(s) scheduled for that day will be powered off and the physical work carried out within approximately 15 minutes, at which stage our engineers will begin bringing the virtual machines back online. Customers may see up to 60 minutes of interruption whilst this work is carried out. If you have any queries regarding this maintenance window, please open a new ticket through the customer portal.
