Infrastructure Upgrades

The next stage of the upgrades to our London Docklands platform will take place on Monday 18th February 2013 where we will need to shut down the entire cloud. This will begin on or around 17:00 GMT and will last for approximately 2 hours. This work is being carried out to allow us to replace the power circuits, power distribution units, upgrade the standard storage area network (hardware upgrades) and physically move items within the racks.

On Tuesday, February 19th 2013 engineers will begin the installation of new hardware, within a couple of a days the parallel Blade installation will be online, ready for machines and final migration will commence. We have planned and will work hard to ensure this work, while essentially meaning the complete replacement of all servers, networking and storage on the current platform, will minimize any interruption.
